I absolutely love all things Disney—particularly, of course, Winnie the Pooh (some of you may, for instance, remember just how excited I was for UCLA’s Sneak Peek of the Winnie the Pooh movie).  However, it is unlikely that you would ever find me wearing Disney clothing outside of say a costume.  Now judging from how fashion-forward and chic Italian women and men are known to be, I expected it would be the same here and that I would not see Disney clothing on a regular basis.  To my surprise, I was very, very wrong.  Not only have I seen clothing featuring Disney characters in many Italian stores, but I have also seen more people than I can count incorporating Disney into their outfits.  I have seen couples each sporting a Mickey Mouse t-shirt, an attractive young guy wearing Donald Duck sweatpants, and even a Winnie the Pooh sweatshirt.  It is so funny to see that it is not only culturally acceptable to wear Disney clothing over the age of thirteen in Italy, but that it is also quite fashionable to do so.  The influence of Disney even extends beyond fashion—Mickey Mouse pastries, anyone?  Love it.
